Which images are actually needed?
A list of subjects connects the planned use with specific shots. For a team page, this might include portraits; for social media, work situations; and for a campaign, staged images. We clarify which people, products, and locations are the focus.
Image composition is also part of the briefing. A wide website image with space for a headline requires a different composition than a square post. If both versions are needed, this should be taken into account during the shoot.
Preparation, Shooting, and Image Selection
Before the shoot, we agree on subjects, the process, responsibilities, and the required image formats. Your team organizes the internal availability of people and departments; the specific task allocation is determined together. During the shoot, we work through the agreed-upon subjects and ensure a consistent visual style.
For the subsequent selection and editing, we determine how many final images are needed and what editing is required. Basic image editing and extensive retouching are considered separate services. Delivery formats and usage rights are also agreed upon.
Photo and Video on One Date
A single production day can be beneficial if the people, locations, and preparation are aligned. However, it doesn't automatically eliminate the need for a complete second shoot. Photos require dedicated time for lighting, perspective, and selection. Therefore, photography should be explicitly scheduled for a tightly packed video shoot.
For regularly needed content, a Content Day can be the ideal format. The desired photo and video results are defined before filming begins.
What Influences the Effort?
The number and type of subjects, locations, people, travel expenses, and editing are all relevant factors. For multiple company locations in Germany or Europe, a common image specification helps ensure consistency in the results. We will assess during the briefing whether all subjects can be filmed in one location.
For content that is needed regularly, a Content Day can be the perfect solution. Send us the planned locations for the photos, an initial list of subjects, and your timeframe. If you already have photo guidelines, we will incorporate them. You can find further production services in the Service Overview.
