Why should someone come back?
The format needs a clear thematic focus: What questions does it address, and for whom are they relevant? Simply including a company name in the title isn't enough. Likewise, every episode doesn't need to explain every single offering.
We clarify the target audience, the scope of topics, potential hosts and guests, and the intended use. Internal availability is also discussed. A format with regular guests requires preparation and scheduling.
Test with a pilot episode
An initial episode can demonstrate whether the conversation style, scope, and technical implementation are a good fit. The insights gained help refine the format before launching a larger series. A pilot episode serves as a foundation, not a guarantee of future reach.
Preparation includes defining guiding questions and coordinating with the experts. A conversation doesn't need to be fully scripted. The participants should be aware of the topics to be covered and which information will remain confidential.
Recording and Post-Production
The agreed-upon production scope can include video and audio recording, editing, sound editing, graphics, and subtitles. We will also determine whether a purely audio version or short excerpts are needed. Summaries often require a separate introduction and sufficient context to ensure clarity.
Publication, descriptions, and ongoing channel management are additional tasks. These responsibilities should be clarified before the start. Details on material processing can be found in the article on Post-Production.
Realistically Plan the Effort
Hosts, guests, recording location, technical requirements, and delivery scope all determine the production. Multiple episodes on a single date can be logistically advantageous if the preparation and participants are well-suited. Approvals and usage agreements must also be factored into the schedule.
For evaluation, we consider the use of the format and its intended purpose. Individual views across different platforms should not simply be added together to determine the number of people reached.
Send us your topic idea, target audience, potential contributors, and planned publication venues. You can find all production options in the Service Overview.
